Cardi B is shutting down rumors that have her romantically involved with Offset once again.
Per Complex, the Grammy-winning rapper hopped on X to squash the speculation fueled by a tabloid account on Wednesday (Sept. 16).
“Never in your life never in THIS life… mf’ers could go through that man text, phone, whatever… NEVER would you catch me doing that,” she wrote in a since-deleted post. “I don’t flirt, I don’t give no inch of possibility. S–t put a private investigator on me and I put that on my kids life in the name of Jesus!!!”
The rumors were sparked by an X user believed to be model Melanie Jayda, who has been linked to Offset in the past.
The X user went on a spree resharing posts, calling out an unnamed baby mama for hooking up with the baby daddy again, even though they weren’t dating. She later denied that the messages were aimed at anyone specifically.
Billboard has reached out to Cardi and Offset’s reps, as well as Melanie Jayda for comment.
Cardi B filed for divorce for a second time from Offset in July 2024 after seven years together. The former couple shares three children — Kulture, Blossom and Wave. Legal hurdles have kept the divorce from being finalized, and it remains tied up in court.
“I feel like last year, a new person was reborn,” Cardi said on an episode of Aspire With Emma Grede in March. “I don’t know if it was the divorce. I don’t know if something woke me up. I feel like I’m definitely a new person.”
Cardi welcomed a fourth child, her first with NFL player Stefon Diggs, in November 2025. However, they appeared to split during the first quarter of this year.
The 33-year-old spoke to fans on Spaces on Wednesday as well, during which she teased a massive tour for next year that will take her overseas to Europe, and how she’s restructuring her team internally.
“Next year, I’m gonna have a humongous tour,” she said. “I’m going to Europe. This year’s going to be really, really, really good for y’all.”
As for Offset, he’s launching a new solo era on Friday (Sept. 18), which will see the release of his new song, “Something I Need.”
