Roma injury crisis as five regular starters set to miss Genoa clash

Paulo Dybala and Manu Koné will undergo medical tests today, but they are not expected to be available against Genoa tomorrow, which means Gian Piero Gasperini will have to cope without five regular starters.
Roma are awaiting medical tests for Dybala and Koné, who were subbed off with injuries during Wednesday’s Champions League match against Real Madrid.

Multiple sources, including Gazzetta and Sky, claim that Koné’s condition concerns Roma more than Dybala’s, yet the Argentine is still expected to miss tomorrow’s home game against Daniele De Rossi’s Genoa, while Koné will surely be ruled out.
Dybala and Koné join goalkeeper Mile Svilar and midfielder Bryan Cristante on Roma’s unavailable list, while Donyell Malen is suspended.

The Dutchman received a straight red card in the previous Serie A match against Como, resulting in a one-game suspension.
Both Cristante and Dybala are expected to return for a Champions League match against Slovan Bratislava next week, while Svilar and Koné are unlikely to return before Parma-Roma on November 21, yet Koné’s exact recovery time will only be known after today’s exams.
