Most-played games range from Clair Obscur to Civ to Elden Ring to Halo 2 and beyond.

The Horus Guards are among the most recognizable villains in the entire Stargate franchise, with their distinctive falcon-headed helmets and imposing Egyptian-style armor becoming iconic since they were first introduced in the original 1994 film. These fearsome enemies served the powerful Goa'uld ruler Ra, with Stargate SG-1 eventually revealing them as elite Jaffa warriors serving Ra's family, and were prime examples of the depth of the series' lore-building.

They served Heru'ur, also known as "Horus the Elder," a ruthless System Lord and the son of Ra and Hathor who cosplayed as the ancient Egyptian deity of the same name before eventually getting outplayed and blown up by his uncle Apophis. The Horus Guards were truly badass, carrying deadly staff weapons and wearing elaborate, retractable helmets designed to intimidate anyone who dared take them on.

Their unmistakable look helped establish them as some of the franchise's most memorable enemies, even today, after decades since they were introduced. Now, a new upcoming release promises to bring these iconic warriors back like we've never seen them before, arriving this December.

The legendary Horus Guards are officially returning in December 2026 courtesy of Master Replicas, who unveiled an impressively detailed recreation of the iconic helmets from the Stargate SG-1 television series. Part of the company's growing collection of Stargate merch, the new Horus Guard Helmet Desktop Replica brings one of the franchise's most best designs to life in miniature form, giving fans a chance to own their own little piece of Goa'uld history right there on their desks.

The replica recreates the distinctive falcon-headed helmet worn by the elite Jaffa warriors, with the intimidating hooked beak, elaborate golden headdress, and even the intricate detailing inspired by the ancient Egyptian god Horus. According to the designers, the collectible was digitally sculpted using "a careful study of the original props" to make sure it turned out as accurate to the on-screen look as possible:

As befits the falcon god, the helmet is designed with the fierce, hooked beak and sculpted headdress of Horus himself. The Horus Guards served Ra and later Heru'ur, and their helmets were among the first sights to greet SG-1 when they stepped through the gate to Abydos - a warning that the gods of Earth's ancient past were very much alive, and still ruling. The replica helmet was digitally sculpted, based on careful study of the original props.

The replica is made out of polyresin and is carefully painted to give the helmet its authentic appearance, measuring just under 6 inches (15 cm) tall, including its specially designed display stand. Although significantly smaller than the original helmets, it's a nice collectible piece that is obviously meant to be far more affordable than a life-size wearable replica.

The Horus Guard Helmet is the second release in Master Replicas' new desktop replica collection, which also includes other familiar Goa'uld designs, including the Serpent Guard helmet. The company has been expanding its Stargate line with everything from miniature starships to recreations of iconic props, giving longtime fans multiple ways to celebrate the franchise.

Pre-orders are currently available through Master Replicas for $69.99, with shipping expected to begin in December 2026, although the company cautions that its estimated delivery dates may change.

For fans who have followed Stargate since the original 1994 film and are waiting for an official franchise reboot, the new Horus Guard helmet is a top-tier nostalgia tap that's well worth snagging ahead of their winter release, bringing one of the franchise's earliest and most memorable enemy designs straight to your office or living room display more than three decades after they first appeared on screen.
