Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya joined hands with director Karthik Dandu for the upcoming mystical adventure thriller ‘Vrushakarma’. Ahead of the film’s release on December 4, the makers began promotions by inviting media personnel to the sets, specifically taking them to the film's man-made caves. The team recently invited media members to visit the location and experience the scale of the production. There they revealed the massive cave set that took 50 days to build. Named Brahmagiri Cave, the set has three chambers and plays a significant role in the film’s story.

Director Karthik Dandu explains why the cave was built

Karthik Dandu said the team decided to build the cave physically instead of relying entirely on computer-generated imagery (CGI), as the location is central to the narrative.“The set defines the story, so we did not want to depend on CG. It is one of the main elements of the narrative,” he said. After finalising the story, the production designer first presented a miniature model of the cave. The team then developed it into a detailed physical structure. Around 20 minutes of the film take place inside the cave, making its design and construction particularly important. The team also conducted location research and studied documentaries to create an authentic setting.

Karthik added that the film goes beyond a conventional treasure-hunting adventure by combining thrilling sequences with emotional elements.

Naga Chaitanya calls ‘Vrushakarma’ a new experience

Naga Chaitanya, who plays a treasure hunter in the film, said he was impressed by the scale of the production when he first saw the set.“When I saw Nagendra’s set for the first time, I was completely blown away. I have never attempted such a larger-than-life character before, and this is my first experience with the mythological thriller genre,” he said. The actor also spoke about the preparation involved in making the film. He revealed that Karthik narrated the story to him over seven hours. He further shared that he had never spent so much time working with a director on a single project before.Naga Chaitanya praised the extensive pre-production and research and expressed confidence in the film’s planned climax.
