  • ESPN staffOct 3, 2026, 11:28 AM ET

What will Week 5 in college football deliver? We get ranked matchups in the SEC and Big Ten and other College Football Playoff contenders facing their first tests of the year.

Iowa is coming off a last-second win over Michigan and now hosts Ohio State. The Buckeyes haven't been to Iowa City since 2017 when they were routed 55-24.

Not surprisingly, Iowa has a stout defense and faces another loaded Ohio State offense. The Hawkeyes are allowing and FBS-leading eight points per game, having allowed just three offensive touchdowns. The Buckeyes, on the other hand, are scoring 45 points per game with receiver Jeremiah Smith coming off a four-TD performance.

Elsewhere, Michigan tries to bounce back against Minnesota which beat Washington in Week 4. And the Kamario Taylor Show gets another challenge as Mississippi State host Alabama.

We have all the top plays and moments from around college football.
