Salman Khan talks about having 'kids someday' and why he doesn’t discuss RELATIONSHIPS on 'Koffee with Karan' Season 9: 'That person goes ahead and gets married to somebody else'

Salman Khan was in a candid mood on the first episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ season 9, speaking about nearly everything. He finally explained what he meant when he said he was ‘still’ a virgin 13 years ago, and also spoke about having children.

Salman Khan explains his ‘virgin’ remark

While people keep wondering why the superstar is not married, Salman Khan went a step further and spoke about becoming a father. Host Karan Johar teasingly asked him about the old comment.Salman Khan shared, "That was a way of saying, Karan, that I don’t want to talk about it. You keep saying, ‘I am dating so-and-so person,' but you never know if this person is going to be in your life. Then that person goes ahead and gets married to somebody else.

Since I was 16, my father has said one thing: ‘Yeh personal life tumhara bedroom hai, aur living room poori country hai. Jo aap living room mein bol sakte ho, poori country mein bolo, bedroom yahaan tak nahi aana chahiye (Your personal life is your bedroom, while the living room represents the entire country.

Whatever you can say in the living room, say it in front of the whole country, but the bedroom should remain off-limits)'.”

Salman Khan on loneliness and having children

Karan Johar then turned to a more emotional topic, asking whether Salman Khan feels lonely without a life partner. The actor replied, “You are the loneliest when nobody wants to be with you... nobody stopped me from having a partner. I am happy with this.”On whether he misses having kids of his own, Salman Khan said, “Of course I will have children at some point of time. I was happy for you, Karan, when you did that (having kids via surrogacy). Yes, kids will come in.”

What’s next on the show

The coming episodes of the final season of ‘Koffee With Karan’ are said to bring back many regulars from the couch. Guests reportedly include Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, among others.
