Christina Applegate Shares First Video Following Months-Long Hospitalization: ‘Love to You All Out There’

Christina Applegate has shared a first look at her life outside the hospital following a months-long stay amid her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis.

In the video, shared on Applegate’s Instagram account, the “Married… with Children” star is seen showing off her blonde hair while wearing a black zip-up hoodie. “Fresh hair color, new weird spot on my cheek haha thank you @davestanwell for brightening up my cloudy day,” Applegate wrote.

The Emmy winner also shouted out those who have been supporting her: “Love you and love to you all out there,” she wrote.

News first broke that Applegate had been hospitalized back in March, though the next month, she took to Instagram to share that she’d been “getting stronger and better every day.”

“Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes,” she wrote in her caption on Monday. “Health issues are a constant for me, but I’m a strong chick and I’m getting stronger and better every day. I’m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I’ll be back with more to say soon enough.”

Applegate first announced her MS diagnosis in Aug. 2021, and made her first public appearance when she attended her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony the following year.

When she took the stage during the ceremony, the “Dead to Me” actor began to cry when talking about her daughter.

“The most important person in this world is my daughter,” Applegate said. “You are so much more than even you know. You are so beautiful and kind and smart and interesting. I’m blessed every day that I get to wake up and take you to school…thank you for standing by me through all of this.”

Speaking to the audience, Applegate added, “Every single one of you. I love you [all] so much.”
