Yu Hibari's Watashi de Dōtei Suteta Kuse ni Novels Get Manga
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine announced on Tuesday that Yu Hibari's Watashi de Dōtei Suteta Kuse ni (Even Though You Lost Your Virginity to Me) light novel series is getting a manga adaptation that will launch on September 29 on Kadokawa's Shōnen Ace Plus website. Shūsei Kirisaki is drawing the manga.
The post-breakup love comedy centers on childhood friends Kōta and Sakura who grew up together and were closer than best friends. Although they were rumored to be a perfect couple, Kōta and Sakura only dated once and did not harbor any romantic feelings for each other. After that one date, Kōta and Sakura continue their comfortable non-romantic relationship, but Sakura starts teasing Kōta about losing his virginity to her. Kōta, who prides himself in knowing everything about Sakura, gets quite a shock when he finds out that Sakura won a certain novel award. Gradually, Kōta starts to see Sakura as a girl pursuing her dreams, and their relationship begins to drift apart.
Hibari released the novels' first volume under Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint on April 10 with illustrations by U35. The second volume shipped on August 7.
Hibari's Kokō na Kanojo to, Kanojo no Heya de Shiteru Koto light novel also inspired a manga adaptation by Mugiko, which launched in Kadokawa's Comic Alive magazine on June 27.
Hibari launched the Tenkō-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishōjo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken (The Neat and Beautiful Girl at My New School Was My Childhood Friend Who I Used to Play With Who I Thought was a Boy, or Tenbin for short) light novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō ("Let's Become Novelists") website in 2020. Kadokawa started publishing the series with illustration by Siso in 2021. Kadokawa published the light novels' 11th volume on July 31. Kina Ōyama launched a manga adaptation on Comic Walker as part of Kadokawa's "Dora Dora Flat" website in 2021. Kadokawa published the manga's seventh compiled book volume in July 2025. The novels' television anime adaptation premiered on July 6. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired under the English title Oh Boy, Was I Wrong About Her.
