Asian Games Day 4: Roshibina's silver; rowing bronze take India's medal count to 14

Asian Games 2026 Day 5 Live Updates: India added another rowing medal to its Asian Games 2026 tally as Satnam Singh and Salman Khan secured bronze in the men’s double sculls. The duo finished third in 6:13.25 after a close battle with Uzbekistan. Meanwhile, Roshibina Devi advanced to the women’s wushu gold medal match, giving India another medal opportunity on Day 5.

India's campaign at the Asian Games 2026 continues on Thursday, September 24, with athletes competing across multiple sports in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

India will have medal opportunities in rowing, wushu, shooting, canoe sprint, swimming and athletics on Day 5.

The day begins with rowing, where Balraj Panwar will compete in the men's single sculls Final A at 5:10am IST. Satnam Singh and Salman Khan will then be in action in the men's double sculls Final A. India will also compete in the women's four, men's lightweight double sculls and men's quadruple sculls medal events.

One of India's biggest medal hopes will be Roshibina Devi, who will face China's Zhang Xiaoyu in the women's Sanda 60kg final at 6:10am IST.

Athletics will also feature several Indian athletes. Asha Ilango and Niharika Vashisht will compete in the women's triple jump final, while Seema will take part in the women's 10,000m final. Animesh Kujur and Gurindervir Singh will begin their men's 100m campaigns.

India's men's kabaddi team will face Chinese Taipei, while the women's team takes on Japan. In hockey, the Indian men's team will play South Korea.
