What channel is Northern Ireland v Portugal Women's World Cup play-off on? TV coverage, live stream and kick-off time

Northern Ireland host Portugal in their World Cup play-off semi-final first leg on Friday as they look to reach the tournament for the first time in their history.

Michael McArdle's side are the underdogs heading into the two-legged semi-final. They are ranked 50th in the world and have won just two of their previous 10 games in all competitions.

Northern Ireland managed just two victories in six group stage qualifiers (with both wins coming against Malta) and the winner of the tie will face either Croatia or Iceland with a spot at the 2027 World Cup in Brazil on the line.

As if the task isn't already hard enough, McArdle is dealing with an injury crisis with Northern Ireland missing the likes of Simone Magill, Danielle Maxwell and Caragh Hamilton.

Portugal won five of their six group qualifiers and while they've only played at one World Cup, they'll fancy their chances of besting Northern Ireland over two legs to reach the play-off final.
