MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte’s defense team is set to begin presenting evidence as the Senate impeachment trial resumes Monday, Nov. 9, following a nearly monthlong recess, with the panel facing the challenge of addressing allegations of unexplained wealth.
Senate impeachment court spokesperson Reginald Tongol said the court had served 22 of the 24 subpoenas requested by the defense ahead of the proceedings. /dp
