The interview comes weeks after the trial of Lindsay Clancy, which began in July. Patrick Clancy testified during the proceedings, while Lindsay Clancy “pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity” in connection with the 2023 deaths of Cora, Dawson, and Callan Clancy, per official records. Her defense argued that she was experiencing “acute postpartum psychosis” at the time.

The trial drew widespread attention, with proceedings livestreamed by Court TV and discussed extensively across social media.
