Knocked Loose Donate $8,000 to Woman Who Was Paralyzed During Band’s Louder Than Life Set

Knocked Loose have made an $8,000 contribution to a GoFundMe launched for Jamie Ulshoffer, the woman who was left paralyzed after a man fell from a tree and landed on her during the hardcore band’s set at this past weekend’s Louder Than Life festival in Louisville.

As previously reported, Ulshoffer’s spine was apparently severed as a result of the incident, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. She had been watching Knocked Loose’s performance at a side tent stage at the massive four-day rock fest.

While they haven’t released a statement yet, Knocked Loose popped up as the top donor on the GoFundMe page with their $8,000 contribution. As of this posting, roughly $28,000 has been raised toward a $40,000 goal.

At a hospital ICU, Ulshoffer told local ABC affiliate WHAS11, “I can’t feel my feet. Can’t do anything that I used to. I’m not going to be able to play with the kids.”

Her husband Conor, who was at the festival with her, remarked, “We were actually at the backside of the tent and there’s four trees in the back… We were on the back right corner. I turn around and see her on her back… Then everyone said some dude fell out of a tree.”

Local police have reported that there will be no criminal investigation into the incident, and that this is a civil matter.
