Femi Azeez Cleared For Super Eagles Competitive Debut In AFCON Qualifiers

Brighton new winger Femi Azeez who made his debut for Nigeria during the summer Unity Cup friendly tournament has been cleared for his competitive debut for Nigeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Azeez made an instant impression for Nigeria with a brace against Zimbabwe in the semi final, and an assist in the win over Jamaica in the final helping Nigeria defend the Unity Cup.
Following his move from Millwall to Brighton a knock has prevented him from making his debut, hence putting his participation for Nigeria in the AFCON qualifiers in doubt.
Yesterday head coach of Brighton Fabian Hurzeler confirmed that he is now among his options available for Sunday’s English Premier League game against Coventry City.
The coach said: “Also regarding him (Azeez), I hope he will be an option. He will definitely train today with the squad and hopefully everything is fine and then he hopefully is an option for the weekend.”
