Dungeon Crawler Carl fans may be in for a bit of a wait for the finale to Matt Dinniman's epic LitRPG series, but fortunately the author is quite generous when it comes to giving his readers teasers for what's in store. Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 9, currently referred to by the working title The Beautiful Place, will be split into two massive volumes, though it's unclear exactly when those books will actually be released.
Book 9 will finally take Crawlers to the infamous 12th floor and will provide readers with answers to several lingering questions they've had since Book 8 released earlier this year. It's a massive undertaking that's certainly going to be a challenge for Dinniman given all the moving parts, but fans won't have to wait any longer to see where the author is headed, as he just revealed several new teaser chapters for Book 9 to Patreon supporters.
!!! WARNING: LIGHT SPOILERS FOR DUNGEON CRAWLER CARL BOOK 9 BELOW !!!

Dungeon Crawler Carl fans looking for a taste of what's to come in Book 9 can check out the first five chapters and a new interlude to The Beautiful Place thanks to a recent update from Matt Dinniman. The first two chapters were previously released back in August, with three new full chapters revealed earlier last week.
In the Patreon announcement, Dinniman discusses some recent hurdles that have caused slight delays in publishing Book 9 or releasing some of the preview chapters:
Sorry (again) for the delays. A lot of this has been written for a while, but it's not in a coherent order. My editing time is really jacked up from all the travel, a nasty car accident (I'm 100% fine. My poor truck is not), my move, and a nasty bout of food poisoning. It all led to a perfect storm, bla bla bla. —Matt Dinniman
As longtime readers will know, Patreon supporters will often receive new teasers and full chapter reveals of upcoming books ahead of the full release as part of their subscription fees, which is well worth the cost of entry if you're a hardcore fan of the franchise. The newest chapters obviously pick up with more information on what's going on with Elle and further details about the party's foray into the Celestial Ascendency Games (which I'll keep vague for anyone who hasn't had a chance to read any teaser chapters yet).
If you're not a Patreon supporter already and are all caught up with the existing eight books in the series, you can sign up for just $3 a month and get access to all teaser chapters as soon as Dinniman posts them, with higher tiers available that offer some unique additional benefits, such as access to some of Dinniman's other non-DCC-related fiction.
Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 9 is not the only major franchise release on the horizon, either, so if you're eager to get your hands on more content from the World Dungeon, the new role-playing game and Unstoppable tabletop deck-building game are both releasing this November.
Further, a fancy new Deluxe edition of the original Dungeon Crawler Carl will release later this year just ahead of the holiday season, and it will include an official Q&A between Dinniman and Princess Donut the Queen Anne Chonk herself, while the highly anticipated television series from Seth MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door will officially start production soon.
While we don't know exactly how long it'll be before we get our hands on the full first volume of Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 9, the fact that Dinniman has released a substantial chunk of the opening chapters is a very positive sign, and it's only a matter of time before he narrows down the release window.
