Bret Michaels Announces First Shows Since Doctors Ordered Him Off the Road
Bret Michaels has booked his first shows since doctors ordered the veteran rocker to stay off the road due to recent medical issues.
The Poison singer will return to the stage at the Amphitheater at Founders Square in Portage, Indiana, on October 16th, followed by a two-night stand November 13th and 14th at Island Resort and Casino in Harris, Michigan. He’s also set to play the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois, on November 27th; Ohio’s Northfield Park Racino on November 28th; and the Palace Theater in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, on November 29th.

Michaels was sidelined earlier this year after undergoing surgery in June to remove a kidney stone and have a ureteral stent placed. He attempted to perform a show on August 21st in Sugar Hill, Georgia, but after it was completed, doctors ordered him to cancel all his remaining tour dates.
His physicians stated at the time, “We will be pulling Bret off the road for the time being. He wanted to attempt this show, but we feel there is a much-needed period of rest and slow recovery ahead, especially considering the heat and humidity during the summer months and the effect it can have on his blood sugar levels.”
Michaels, who has lived with Type 1 diabetes since childhood, is dubbing the newly scheduled dates his “Road to Recovery Tour,” as seen and heard in the promo clip for the first show back in Portage, Indiana, below. The Poison frontman is also slated to perform on the Rock Legends Cruise, setting sail from Miami on February 21st, 2027.
