Passenger falls onto tracks at Wangsa Maju LRT station

KUALA LUMPUR: A passenger believed to be unwell fell onto the tracks at Wangsa Maju station at 6.52am and was taken to safety by staff, Rapid KL said.

"The passenger was brought out of the track area by station personnel and taken to the emergency room for treatment," said Rapid KL in a statement.

The public transport operator said the Platform Intrusion Emergency Stop system was activated immediately following the incident.

It said the power supply to the tracks was temporarily cut as a safety measure, resulting in minor delays to services on the Kelana Jaya LRT line.

It urged passengers who are unwell or require assistance to seek help from auxiliary police or staff.

"Passengers are advised to remain behind the yellow line while waiting for trains as a safety precaution," it added.
