'I felt degraded. Treated like an animal, a piece of meat': Russell Brand's alleged victim says she was left with a sense of guilt

Russell Brand treated a young fan he allegedly raped at his London townhouse 'like an animal' and a 'piece of meat', a court has heard.
The comedian is accused of assaulting the then 21-year-old as she begged him to stop days after meeting her at a gig in 2009.
The trial on Wednesday heard recorded police interviews with Brand's youngest accuser, who says she carried feelings of shame and guilt with her after the alleged attack.
Six women have accused Brand, 51, of three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and one allegation of indecent assault. He denies the charges.
Giving evidence at Southwark Crown Court, the woman said she was a 'massive Russell Brand fan' and had 'adored' the TV star when they first met at the Hammersmith Apollo.
The alleged victim had told the court the day before that she had been selected for a 'threesome' with Brand and a 19-year-old girl backstage at the venue but had decided against having intercourse as she had a boyfriend.
A few days later she agreed to meet Brand at his £2.3million Hampstead home with the understanding that this time the pair would have sex as she had split up with her partner.
But jurors heard the consensual encounter turned into a horrific rape when Brand forced her into anal sex without warning, leaving the woman bleeding and struggling to breathe.

On Wednesday, she said the experience left her feeling 'degraded', and months later she confronted Brand in a text saying he had 'treated her like an animal'.
In a police interview played to the court, the woman said she had bumped into Brand at the Edinburgh Festival after the alleged rape and then received a 'random' text from him.
She said she challenged Brand, asking: 'Why are you even messaging me?' She claims he responded by saying: 'Because you are dirty and I want to push you further.'
She told police the message upset her and she texted Brand: 'I think you've pushed me far enough. You treated me like an animal.'
The woman claims Brand replied immediately, saying: 'I'm sorry.' She told the police that receiving the messages took her back to how she had felt after the alleged rape at his house.
'I felt completely degraded and like I'd been treated like an animal, like a piece of meat,' she said. 'It was horrible, it really upset me. I did not want to see him. I did not want to have any interaction with him.'
During cross-examination, Brand's barrister Ian Winter KC repeatedly put it to the alleged victim that the entire encounter had been consensual.
He suggested that the woman's judgment had been 'clouded' as she idolised Brand. The woman became emotional as she insisted she had not agreed to anal sex.

'I didn't agree to do it. You're not here to discuss my morality. This is criminality,' she told Mr Winter. 'I made it very clear I was going to have consensual vaginal sex with a condom. I made it clear what was consensual and what wasn't.'
She also said: 'I did have a partner I really loved, and I made a huge mistake. I carried that feeling of guilt and shame... for exactly the reason that you are doing right here, that I brought it on myself.
'That just because you go somewhere willingly and the outcome in the end is not consensual, it's a different scenario.'
The court previously heard how she had been forced to shower and brush her teeth before the encounter. Asked how she felt during consensual sex, the woman replied: 'I don't think I enjoyed it, not because I didn't feel I had consented to it. I felt really uncomfortable, from having to take the shower, to brush [her teeth].'
Describing the alleged rape, the woman said Brand had removed a condom and started to have anal sex without seeking consent.
She said she was in pain and struggling to breathe and repeatedly asked him: 'Can you stop, can you stop, can you stop?'
After the alleged assault, she said Brand told her to 'clear up the mess that you've made', referring to the soiled sheets.
She recalled Brand then turning on the TV and answering a phone call before leaving for a performance, while she was left to clean.
