AFCON 2027Q: Super Eagles Return To Training Ahead Guinea-Bissau Showdown

Nigeria’s Super Eagles returned to training on Saturday following their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Madagascar in their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture, Completesports.com reports.

Éric Chelle’s side held a light recovery session at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo as preparations continue for Tuesday’s Matchday 2 encounter against Guinea-Bissau.

All 24 players in camp participated in the recovery session as the team began preparations for their trip to Bissau.

The Super Eagles are expected to step up their training on Sunday before departing for Guinea-Bissau ahead of the crucial Group L clash.

Nigeria will face the Djurtus at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau on Tuesday.

Guinea-Bissau currently lead Group L on goal difference after securing a 2-0 victory over Tanzania in their opening fixture, while Nigeria sit second following their win over Madagascar.

In the other Group L fixture, Madagascar will host Tanzania on Tuesday.
