With us only a few months away from December, Winter is indeed coming! Luckily, the good folks over at Netmarble Neo have something to fight off those winter blues. With House of the Dragon in full swing and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms seeing such great success, it would seem all new Game of Thrones content is very much welcomed by the fans. And if you happen to be a lover of the ARPG Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, then you've got plenty of great new content to get your teeth into.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad launched on Steam, Android and iOS last year to a middling response. Since that time, the developers have been hard at work honing their craft and addressing some of the community's issues. The hard work has definitely paid off as the game sits at a 'Mostly Positive' rating on Steam based on recent reviews. And the reward for players who stuck with the game appears to have already begun. A new season is upon us and with it...a host of new content to enjoy.
As of September 2, 2026, the new Season 2 Trial of the Reach Bannermen: Rose and Thorn has begun. With the new season, comes a plethora of new content, including new co-op missions, new bounties and new achievements to unlock. To trigger the new events of Season 2, though, you must first complete episode IV of the main quest. Once you've progressed far enough, Trial of the Reach Bannerman: Rose & Thorn is unlocked and for you to enjoy.
Game of Thrones: Rose & Thorn brings a new season to players and with it, some clever tweaks to enhance your gameplay. Ranked groups will be re-ranked in Season 2, which allows players of a similar skill level to play together. There are also some brand-new sub quests to explore in Trial of the Reach Bannerman: Rose & Thorn, and a new equipment set that might give you the edge in battle. The Mauler set will give you certain levels of rage to exploit in battle depending on how much of the set you own. Think Kratos and his spartan rage, and you're on the right track.
This new season for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad also introduces seasonal expeditions beyond the wall and offers a new 1v1 tournament to take part in with your friend, or your worst enemy. With the entire experience being free to play, there's never been a better time to bring glory to your house and unite the seven kingdoms through power, bloodshed and prowess. Just remember you'll need at least a level 2 forge to craft the Mauler set and go absolute ham on your opponents.
With the price of the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake causing a few eyes to water, it's great to know that we can still get some incredible gaming experiences for free. Game of Thrones: Kingsroad continues to improve month after month and Season 2 The Trial of the Reach Bannerman: Rose & Thorn, offers a host of new content and immersive gameplay experiences for seasoned Targaryens and newcomers alike. Check it out today!
