GTA 6 radio stations revealed, plus a whole new audio experience

Translate

Rockstar has just revealed the GTA 6 radio stations that will accompany Jason and Lucia around Leonida, and this selection seems to be the biggest yet.

GTA 5 was notable for its variety of in-game radio stations with hundreds of licensed songs across all genres of music, and GTA 6's soundtrack is no exception, with an already highly anticipated official album that can be purchased as a digital album or as a physical vinyl.

And who can forget the smooth, dulcet tones of Cara Delevingne on GTA 5’s Non-Stop-Pop FM? The infamous radio station where Delevingne made her video game debut as her musical alter ego, DJ Cara.

But for GTA 6, Rockstar has now unveiled six brand new radio stations, all with their own hosts and individual genres of music.

The first station, Cocoteo FM, specialises in modern Latin music from bachata to reggaeton for all Leonida to tune in to. Back Country Radio, a station that apparently features a swamp meteorologist (whatever that means), blasts country music classics for the Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn areas.

AfroBank FM plays curated African music for your listening pleasure, while tuning in to Flash FM will offer you the best of modern pop chart-toppers.

Finally, The Chamber 106.6 will burst your eardrums with dad rock and thrashing metal, but turning over to Dirty South Classics will treat you to some hip-hop and rap hits.

But amongst the many radio stations revealed for GTA 6, Rockstar has thrown another audio experience into the mix – podcasts.

Since GTA 5 was released back in 2013 podcasts have surged in popularity from advice and comedy podcasts like Call Her Daddy, hosted by Alex Cooper, to Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster.

And with it, manosphere podcasts have also seen a massive spike in popularity, but hopefully we won’t catch Jason listening to any of those.

What these podcasts will sound like and who will host them is a mystery, but players will be able to listen to them on-demand both in the car and on foot through headphones – the same goes for radio.

Perhaps these in-game radio and podcast hosts will include some celebrity voices? We’ll have to wait and see. But for now, if you’d like to listen to the new radio stations for yourself then you can preview the best from Leonida’s airwaves.
