Sylvia Hoeks Joins Apple TV’s ‘Disavowed’

EXCLUSIVE: The cast of Apple TV‘s upcoming action thriller Disavowed continues to expand. Sylvia Hoeks (Ride or Die, See) is the latest to sign on as a series regular in the James Marsden-led series. Details of Hoeks’ character are under wraps.
Created by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man, Uncharted) Disavowed follows legendary CIA Case Officer Brad Griffin (Marsden), who is abruptly fired in the middle of a global hunt for an elusive assassin responsible for killing his colleague. Disgraced and outcast from the world of intelligence, all bets are off when Brad decides to go after the $15 million federal bounty on the assassin’s head.
Hoeks also joins previously announced Norman Reedus in the cast.
Hailing from Apple Studios, the series is executive produced by Marcum & Holloway, Tom Spezialy, Michelle MacLaren, Rebecca Hobbs and Marsden. Blue Marble Pictures (Pachinko) produces, with Theresa Kang and Caroline Garity serving as executive producers. MacLaren (The Morning Show, Breaking Bad) will direct the first two episodes and serve as executive producer alongside Hobbs under her overall deal with Apple TV.
Known for her role as Luv in Blade Runner 2049, Hoeks next will be seen starring as Anna Nicole Smith in Francesca Gregorini’s Hurricanna, about the chaotic final 48 hours of the supermodel’s life. It’s set for theatrical release on Nov. 13. She can currently be seen as Anna in Prime Video’s Ride or Die and recently appeared as Queen Kane in Apple TV’s See. Hoeks is repped by UTA, Untitled, Independent Talent Group and Gang Tyre, LLP.
