GTA 6 launch trailer revealed, debuting theme song featuring Justice, SZA and Tame Impala

Translate

It's really happening, folks. Rockstar Games has unveiled the GTA 6 launch trailer with just over a month to go until launch.

Perhaps the biggest game release of all time, after repeated delays and long periods of silence, Grand Theft Auto 6 is finally almost here.

And with that, Rockstar's marketing has been kicked up a notch, with today's launch trailer introducing the game's theme song.

Flower in a Hurricane comes from French electronic duo Justice, who have composed the game's original score, and features Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.

The song scores the trailer which further opens with a reveal that Jason previously left the army after getting in unexplained trouble.

The rest of the trailer largely features a variety of set pieces showcasing various cars and planes, Vice City and the state of Leonida, and a few shots of side characters like Cal Hampton.

It also features a couple of pretty steamy scenes of Jason and Lucia in the shower, so if you were pleased to hear all the news about Jason going full-frontal in the game, then this will undoubtedly be more wonderful news.

The trailer ends with a reminder to purchase the game, which is to be expected of a trailer, but perhaps more interestingly, it continues Rockstar's apparent preference for PlayStation over Xbox.

The release date is accompanied on screen by a note that the trailer footage was "Captured on PS5," before PlayStation's "Play Has No Limits" outro rounds the trailer out in the game's colours.

While Xbox has previously been keen to let everyone know that GTA 6 is selling just fine on Xbox thank you very much, this does just seem like further evidence that Rockstar has a favourite child, and it's definitely not them.
