2026 U-20 WWC: Falconets Face England Test In Round Of 16

Nigeria’s Falconets will face England in the Round of 16 of the ongoing 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Completesports.com reports.

The Falconets secured their place in the knockout stage after recording a commanding 10-1 victory over New Caledonia on Sunday.

Moses Aduku’s side finished second in Group F behind Spain, who topped the group with nine points. The Falconets accumulated four points from their three matches.

England also progressed as runners-up in Group B after earning four points, finishing behind group winners Brazil.

The European side advanced ahead of Canada based on their superior team conduct score.

Nigeria and England will clash in Bielsko-Biala on Thursday, September 17.

The Round of 16 gets underway on Wednesday, with Brazil taking on the United States in Katowice, while Argentina face Korea Republic at the Arena Sosnowiec.

Also on Wednesday, Spain will battle Portugal, while Italy take on China PR.

Thursday’s other Round of 16 fixtures will see France face Canada, Poland meet Colombia, and Asian rivals Korea Republic and Japan square off at Stadion Miejski LKS in Lodz.
