A Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft carrying 32 people disappeared from radar shortly after take-off before crashing in Igbokoda, Ondo State. The aircraft was travelling from Benin to Lagos, while search-and-rescue efforts continued and authorities had yet to officially confirm the condition of those on board at the time of filing.

Also making headlines, the Dangote refinery stopped selling petrol to major marketers importing petroleum products, citing concerns over the blending of its fuel with imported grades. FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, meanwhile, said President Bola Tinubu’s re-election was constantly on his mind as he urged Rivers residents to support the President in 2027.

In Lagos, a NURTW member was shot dead by suspected cultists at a bus stop, while an Akure pastor who recently got married apologised for past sexual relationships and said he had stepped back from public ministry to reflect and make amends.
