Trump makes flirty comment on Nicki Minaj's figure and floats her as press secretary as he turns to star-power to boost his midterm campaign

Donald Trump complimented Nicki Minaj's 'beautiful a**' as he welcomed her on stage during his midterm campaign rally on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking to the crowd, rapper Minaj said: 'President Trump, it is an honor to stand with you every single time, and I will continue to support you forever and ever.' She then added: 'If you run again, I will support you again.'
Ahead of her remarks, Trump commented on the state of Minaj's derrière, saying that she had 'beautiful a**,' before encouraging her to 'stand up' and show it off.
The compliment to Minaj came after Trump offered a similar one to GOP Ohio Senate candidate Jon Husted's backside: 'I looked at his [Husted's] a**' before adding, 'I've never done that with a man before.'
Prior to appearing at the rally, Minaj told the Daily Mail: 'This election is the most important midterm election of our lifetimes.
'We need to make sure that our great President has a great team in Congress to work with during his final two years in office so he can continue to create great programs like the Trump accounts, which I am a proud supporter of.'
Trump arrived on stage in Port Huron, Michigan, on Sunday afternoon to rally for the Republican cause with less than two weeks to go before the midterms, as his party seeks to defy history in November's elections despite his record-low approval rating of 36 per cent, per the New York Times average.
Trump's approval rating is down slightly over the last month, with a whopping 61 per cent of poll respondents disapproving of the job he is doing as president.

Ahead of the rally, Minaj showed off her political chops during a conversation with White House Communications Director Steven Cheung on Sunday.
The two chatted aboard Air Force One en route to the rally in Michigan. Cheung posted the clip of their conversation, and floated the idea that Minaj may become Trump's new Press Secretary, after Katie Zacharia's exit earlier this month.
Trump's trusted aide wrote: 'Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary! @NICKIMINAJ.'
Minaj responded to Cheung's post by sharing it with two emojis, an American flag and a laughing face with a bead of sweat, keeping coy about the job proposal.
One of the questions Cheung asked Minaj, who was wearing a $6,000 Gucci suit for the affair, was how she viewed the state of the economy under President Trump.
Minaj responded: 'Well, we have a president who understands economics first of all. You know, I've said before that the president is, naturally, a businessman. He's worked his way out of not having a dollar left in the bank.'
She continued: 'If he can do that himself, with his own finances, surely he knows what to do with the country.'

Touting Trump's foreign policy acumen, Minaj gushed: 'He's tough internationally. He tells them what we need, not what they need.'
Ahead of Trump's rally, Minaj told the Daily Mail: 'This election is the most important midterm election of our lifetimes.'
'We need to make sure that our great President has a great team in Congress to work with during his final two years in office so he can continue to create great programs like the Trump Accounts, which I am a proud supporter of,' she added.
Trump is tapping into celebrity star power in the final days of his midterm campaign swing. Other recent guests have included boxers Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, Floyd Mayweather, Evander Holyfield and country music artist Jason Aldean.
En route to Trump's Sunday afternoon rally in Port Huron, Minaj also touted his work ethic.
'The man won three elections!' she exclaimed, continuing, 'he wakes up at four o'clock in the morning. He outworks people who are half his age.'
'What does that say about his character? He's paying it forward. He's thinking about the other Republicans who have to win in this election. That tells me that he's a great guy,' she said while closing her speech.
Alex Bruesewitz, a top outside political adviser whose wedding Minaj attended earlier this year, asked her supporters, known as 'Barbz' on X 'what do we think about this idea??'
One supporter of the artist, posting under the handle of @Rmitchell75R, wrote, 'If @NICKIMINAJ handles the press like she does this interview, they won’t be able to handle her! I love it!'
Fellow X user @musclepisces was also keen on the proposal, writing: 'She understands media influence, public perception, crisis communication, and how quickly misinformation spreads.'
'She has spent years navigating difficult interviews, public scrutiny, and competing narratives. Those are transferable skills in political communications. She’s perfect,' @musclepisces added.

In January of this year, Minaj unexpectedly joined the President on stage Wednesday in Washington, DC during an event promoting Trump Accounts.
At the time, Trump praised Minaj for investing hundreds of thousands into accounts for her supporters' children, then went off script to invite her on stage alongside businessman and Daily Mail contributor Kevin O'Leary.
The so-called Trump accounts aim to provide children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028 with a tax-advantaged investment of $1,000 provided by the Treasury Department.
That $1,000 stipend could be built on with up to $5,000 in annual investments.
If maximum contributions are made to the Trump Account, the projected value would be $1.1million by the time they reach 28 years old.
Minaj, who appeared shyer than usual in front of the government and business audience that month, gushed about Trump despite backlash over her outward support for the President.

She said any hate towards Trump motivates her and his backers to support him even more.
The Trinidadian rapper also shared with fans earlier this year that she is working to obtain her US citizenship.
'Residency? Residency? The cope is coping,' she typed out in a separate post on X. 'Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President. Thanks to the petition.'
