Official: Italy squad numbers revealed for first Nations League test of 2026-27

The squad numbers for Friday night’s Nations League clash between Italy and Belgium have been confirmed, with Pio Esposito set to don the no.7 shirt, Moise Kean at no.9 and Giacomo Raspadori with the iconic no.10. 

Italy are in Nations League action at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday evening, taking on Belgium in Mancini’s second debut as head coach of the national team.

Mancini named a booster squad of 34 players for the extra-long September-October international break, but is only allowed to name 23 players in his matchday squad in the Nations League. 

That means that the suspended Alessandro Bastoni, plus the excluded Massimo Pessina, Daniele Ghilardi, Eddy Kouadio, Matteo Ruggeri, Samuele Ricci, Nicolo Fagioli, Samuele Inacio, Nicolo Zaniolo, Antonio Vergara and Sebastiano Esposito will have to watch from the stands. 

Italy are expected to go with a back four consisting of Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Gianluca Mancini, Diego Coppola and Riccardo Calafiori, with a midfield trio of Nicolo Barella, Sandro Tonali and debutant Alessandro Romano.
