Can you watch the Super League Grand Final 2026 for free? BBC coverage explained

Translate

Two long-suffering rugby league fanbases make their way to Old Trafford on Saturday for the Super League Grand Final.

Both Warrington Wolves and Wakefield Trinity sprung semi-final upsets to punch their ticket for the Big Dance and put themselves within touching distance of historic victories.

Warrington, who edged a tight contest away at Leeds Rhinos, are hunting their maiden Super League triumph and a first championship in 71 years.

Wakefield, meanwhile, produced one of the all-time play-off performances to stop Wigan Warriors' treble charge and reach their first Grand Final.

Trinity have not won the title since 1968 – an era when the club was regularly adding to their trophy cabinet – but now find themselves within touching distance of a seismic success.

Those narratives feed into what has the potential to be an unforgettable Grand Final and lung-busting conclusion to the Super League season.

It's one of the highlights of the British sporting calendar but what are the options for those hoping to catch the action without paying a subscription?

Radio Times brings you the details about the Super League Grand Final and whether you can watch for free.

No, you cannot watch the Super League Grand Final between Warrington Wolves and Wakefield Trinity live for free in the UK.

Though BBC have an ongoing deal to show select live Super League matches throughout the season, including Warrington's victory against Leeds and one of the play-off eliminators, the Grand Final is not part of that agreement.

Sky Sports are the main broadcast partner of the Super League and have the exclusive live rights to the Grand Final, which will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports+ from 5pm on Saturday.

Sky Sports can be added to any Sky TV package for just £24 per month for all nine sports channels, or you can pick up the complete sports package plus Netflix for £35 per month.

Sky Sports customers can live stream the game via the Sky Go app on a variety of devices including most smartphones and tablets as part of their subscription.

You can also watch the match via NOW with a day membership (£14.99) or month membership (£34.99).

NOW can be streamed through a computer or apps found on most smart TVs, phones and consoles. NOW is also available via TNT Sports.

For non-UK fans, coverage of Warrington v Wakefield will be available on SuperLeague+ for a one-off fee of £7.99.

There are other ways to keep up with the action from Old Trafford for free on the BBC.

Fans can tune in to listen to live coverage of the Super League Grand Final on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra, BBC Radio Merseyside, BBC Radio Leeds and BBC Sounds.

There is also a one-hour highlights show on BBC Two at 1:45pm on Sunday, which will be available on BBC iPlayer from 11pm on Saturday night.
