The new Fortnite treasure hunting season is already underway and not only are there One Piece themed skins and items to collect, but there's also an ultra rare item that everyone is looking to get their hands on – the Pirate Shop token.

The Fortnite Pirate Shop token gives players unlimited access to shop cosmetics entirely for free, so for One Piece fans, this item is a must.

But among all the excitement, a video has been circulating online of a big blue and gold compass pointing to winning chests with the token inside.

But is this compass real? Keeping reading to find out the truth behind these rumours and if you too can get the compass.

The compass in Fortnite is not real, and the video that showcased the feature was faked merely for Facebook views.

However, there are legitimate methods of finding the token, but it might not be as easy as a magical compass pointing you in the right direction.
