Rob Kardashian Makes Rare Public Appearance for Kim Kardashian's Birthday
Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton aren’t keeping up with a feud.
After rumors swirled that the Kardashians star was upset her longtime friend didn’t participate in an interview for the upcoming biography Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future by Jonathan Van Meter, a source told E! News there are no issues between the two.
“An old assistant at Paris’s company was coordinating the interview, and it seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle of Paris’s incredibly hectic schedule,” the source explained. “As you can imagine, she has a lot of projects happening at once and is constantly traveling, so coordinating interviews can sometimes be a challenge.”
The source noted, “Kim is not mad. In fact, she and Paris are both involved in each other’s upcoming projects and continue to always support one another.”
Speculation of a feud between the two began when biographer Van Meter claimed that Hilton had cancelled meeting with him “17 times over about four months.”
“Eventually I thought the cancellations were more interesting than whatever she’d tell me,” Van Meter told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Oct. 23. “Kim was so mad when I told her. It seemed to stir up some ancient irritation between them.”
E! News has reached out to Kardashian and Hilton’s reps but hasn’t received a comment.
Certainly the relationship between the SKIMS founder and The Simple Life star seems as strong as ever, with Kardashian reposting Hilton’s Oct. 21 birthday messages to her Instagram Story.

Through the years, Kardashian has been effusive in her praise of Hilton and the friendship the two have shared since childhood, with the reality star even serving as Hilton’s stylist in her early years.
"Paris, in my eyes, has done a lot for me in my career," Kardashian told the Los Angeles Times in 2019. "A lot of people became aware of who I was through my friendship with her."
Although she did note the two "lost contact for a little bit" after she began filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians, they "would run into each other and reconnect,” with Kardashian adding, "She was always really supportive and really sweet about it."
