Trailer Park & Buddha Jones Veteran Joshua Rogers Launches Creative Agency Gravity

Translate

EXCLUSIVE: Joshua Rogers, the veteran creative advertising executive who has worked at Trailer Park, Zealot and Buddha Jones, has launched Gravity, a new indie creative-led agency.

Rogers was previously VP and creative director at Zealot and Buddha Jones, spearheading campaigns across theatrical and streaming platforms including Disney, HBO, FX, Amazon, Netflix and Apple.

The new outfit has already brought in several of Rogers’ past colleagues including editors Matt McCrory and Brent Howard and producer Patrick Dirks. Its roster also includes a partnership with creative director and editor Kazadi Katambwa, who worked with Rogers at Buddha Jones and who for the past three years had been Lead Creative at Amazon Studios, where he oversaw campaigns for the likes of The Peripheral, The Power, Shelter and The Expanse.

Katambwa’s credits at Buddha Jones where he was Creative Director, included campaigns for Wonder Woman, Dunkirk, Mad Max: Fury Road, Suicide Squad, Spy, Inception and The Dark Knight trilogy.

“I wanted to build a company that I could run from the edit bay, not from a big office or a Zoom window,” said Rogers. “We launched Gravity to contribute to the future of an industry that we hold with lifelong reverence. Our focus is on the joy of the work; elevating our partners and honoring the stories that inspire us. It’s about being of service to the IP — we disappear into the work, completely immersing ourselves in the titles and the studio’s brand identity, adapting to its specificity and DNA, and acting as a seamless extension of each client’s internal team.”

Gravity has already begun work, and is behind current campaigns for It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Season 13 of American Horror Story and the theatrical rerelease of Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth.
