The 20th edition of the Asian Games will officially begin on September 19, 2026 at Aichi and Nagoya in Japan.
India will take part in 35 disciplines with cricket being one of them.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) are sending 30 athletes for the cricket event in Asian Games 2026.
Both men’s and women’s teams won gold medal in the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
Shreyas Iyer will lead the men’s squad this year while Harmanpreet Kaur will captain the women’s team.
Cricket will be played in a T20I format at the Asian Games.
