Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko's Mystery Dungeon Game's HD Version Announced for Same Day Release
Square Enix announced during the Nintendo Direct livestream a release of the Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko's Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD- game for the first time in the West. The game launched on the same day as the announcement for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The company streamed an announcement trailer and an opening movie trailer. In related news, Square Enix also streamed a trailer for its Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World game, revealing a playable demo launch.
The original Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon game debuted for Super Famicon in September 1993 in Japan. The roguelike adventure game stars Torneko, a merchant from the Dragon Quest IV game for NES and Famicom.
The Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World Demo Trailer game will launch for Switch 2, Switch, PS5, Xbox X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows on December 3.
The game stars Bianca and Nera from the Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride title. Debora from the same game also appears. There are over 500 monsters. The game's Japanese name is Dragon Quest Monsters 4: Kareki no Kuni no Bianca・Flora (Bianca and Flora in the Withered World). Flora is Nera's original Japanese name.
