‘Shabang’ Scores Drake a 4th Rhythmic Airplay No. 1 From ‘ICEMAN’
Drake Ben Dorado
Drake’s ICEMAN scores a fourth No. 1 on Billboard‘s Rhythmic Airplay chart as the set’s “Shabang” crowns the list dated Aug. 22. With its ascent, the album becomes just the fifth project — including another by Drake — to launch at least four leaders on the radio ranking.
“Shabang,” released and promoted on OVO Sound/Republic Records, rules Rhythmic Airplay as the most played song on panel-contributing rhythm radio stations in the United States for the Aug. 7-13 tracking week, according to Luminate. The single’s advance secures Drake a 46th No. 1 on Rhythmic Airplay, extending his commanding lead among all artists in the chart’s 33-year history. Rihanna ranks second with 17 champs, while Chris Brown and The Weeknd share third place at 16 each.
The new leader switches places with Yung Miami’s “Spend Dat,” as the latter cedes the summit after four weeks in charge.
Before “Shabang,” ICEMAN produced Rhythmic Airplay leaders in “What Did I Miss,” which topped the list for three weeks in August-September 2025, “Janice STFU,” a two-week champ in July and “2 Hard 4 the Radio,” a one-week No. 1, also in July.
Thanks to its latest winner, ICEMAN joins four other albums that have yielded at least four No. 1s on Rhythmic Airplay since the list began in 1992. It joins the select club alongside:
- Drake’s Views (2015-16): “Hotline Bling,” “One Dance” (feat. Wizkid & Kyla) “Controlla,” and “Too Good” (feat. Rihanna)
- Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding (2019): “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)” (with Swae Lee), “Wow.,” “Goodbyes” (feat. Young Thug) and “Enemies” (feat. DaBaby)
- Doja Cat’s Planet Her (2021-22): “Kiss Me More” (feat. SZA); “You Right” (feat. The Weeknd); “Need to Know” and “Woman”
- SZA’s SOS, including its LANA deluxe (2022-24): “I Hate U,” Kill Bill,” “Snooze,” “Saturn” and “30 for 30” (with Kendrick Lamar)
- Kendrick Lamar’s GNX (2025): “Squabble Up,” “TV Off” (feat. Lefty Gunplay) “Luther” (with SZA) and “Peekaboo” (feat. AzChike)
Notably, Drake has earned a fifth Rhythmic Airplay No. 1 in this era: “Which One,” with Central Cee, reigned for one week in October 2025. The track appears on his album HABIBTI, which was released the same day as ICEMAN and a third LP, MAID OF HONOUR.
