Rosalía Celebrates Lux Anniversary with 1,000-Song Playlist

Translate

Yesterday marked a full calendar year since Rosalía dropped her third album Lux, and she marked the occasion with a couple of celebratory offerings. They include a 1,000-song Spotify playlist titled “1000 TEMAS QUE TE DAN LUX,” with tracks from Kate Bush, Mozart, Bon Iver, Yung Lean, Labi Siffre, Pink Floyd, Caetano Veloso, Verdi, and many more. Give it a spin below.

Rosalía also rang in Lux’s first birthday with the release of a limited-edition vinyl box set and, in true modern pop auteur fashion, a Substack post. In the letter, written in Spanish, Rosalía reflected on the creation of the album and her past year, which she describes as “one of the hardest of my life, but also one of the most meaningful.”

“I love acts of service; there’s something about preparing something for someone else that fascinates me,” she wrote. “That’s why I made a playlist of 1,000 songs I listened to during the years I dreamed up, composed and shared Lux.”

Since introducing Lux to the world last year, Rosalía has barely taken a breather. She supported the album on a critically-acclaimed tour; sang “Reliquía” en pointe on Saturday Night Live; and released a song with Fontaines D.C. On November 12, she’ll perform at the Latin Grammys, where she and Lux are up for seven awards including Album and Record of the Year.
