The first few cards from Pokémon Trading Card Game’s first set of 2027 have appeared online, giving an initial sense of what to expect from the expansion once it is released. The Aura Seeker set is the direct Japanese counterpart to the Flowing Fists expansion for Pokémon TCG in global markets, and it will be released this year, while Flowing Fists will be released in early 2027. Unlike most global sets, Flowing Fists will be a direct adaptation of a single Japanese set, rather than a mix of two smaller Japanese releases.
Because of this, anything released for Aura Seeker is all but confirmed for the Flowing Fists set. Now, as seen in a new report by PokéBeach, the first few cards from the Aura Seeker set have surfaced online ahead of its release on November 27. We already knew the set would see a new Riolu card, a Mega Lucario Z ex card, and a promising new Sigilyph ex card, but now, 18 new cards have been revealed. According to the report, Aura Seeker will have 78 main set cards, plus something between 35 and 40 Secret Rare cards.
The cards revealed for the Aura Seeker expansion are all part of the main set. Apart from the aforementioned cards, like the exciting new Mega Lucario Z card for Pokémon TCG, there are a few additions that will likely shake up the meta. Drampa, for instance, seems to be a worthwhile Energy accelerator for competitive decks with Dragon-types. Meanwhile, Flygon will be an Energy disruption card that will be quite annoying to face if it is given enough time to act. In fact, Flygon’s entire evolutionary line will be something to deal with.
The list below highlights all 18 Pokémon TCG: Aura Seeker cards revealed for now:
- #022 Oriciorio
- #023 Pawmi
- #024 Pawmo
- #025 Pawmot
- #030 Mega Absol Z ex
- #032 Meloetta
- #041 Trapinch
- #056 Mawile
- #060 Varoom
- #061 Revavroom
- #063 Vibrava
- #064 Flygon
- #065 Gible
- #066 Gabite
- #067 Mega Garchomp Z ex
- #068 Drampa
- #075 Korrina’s Determination
- #078 Fight Arena
There are some pretty exciting ex cards, too. Mega Garchomp Z from Pokémon Legends: Z-A is also appearing in the Aura Seeker cards, and it packs a punch, especially as it has the chance to turn matches around with only two Energy cards attached to it. Mega Absol Z ex also stands out among the new cards, and it’s particularly great against opponents who rely heavily on Special Energy or Stadium cards to ensure their victories.
Because Flowing Fists will be a direct adaptation of Aura Seeker, you can actually expect to see all of these cards in English once the set arrives. Flowing Fists is the first Pokémon TCG set of 2027, and its release is scheduled for February 5. With Aura Seeker’s release this November, we’ll be able to see what cards compose Flowing Fists well in advance. Considering what has been revealed so far, Flowing Fists does have the potential to become a popular set.
Right now, however, the card game lies between the release of the extremely popular 30th Celebration set in September and the upcoming Delta Reign expansion on November 6. The next set will be centered mostly around Rayquaza, but will also feature a few confirmed hits, such as SIR Raikou ex and more. As Pokémon TCG wraps up the releases for 2026, it’s time to look forward to the 2027 arrivals, and the first few cards next year seem promising.
