South African pacer Lungi Ngidi has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Australia.

Ngidi experienced discomfort during a domestic first class game and following scans, it was found that he had picked up a right hamstring injury.

The 29-year-old, whose participation in the Test series is now under doubt, will undergo a period of rehabilitation before the team management takes a call on his return date.
