Shaira Diaz appealed for kindness and sensitivity as she addressed pregnancy rumors and comments about her weight, saying she has been struggling to lose weight amid her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

The actress-TV host opened up about this while sharing photos from her recent Finland trip with her actor husband EA Guzman, through her Facebook page on Friday, Aug. 21.

“I am aware that I gained weight, and I’m not proud of it. I’m trying, pero ang hirap talaga magpapayat. I’m dealing with metabolic and hormonal issues related to PCOS, and I’m sure marami rin ang nakaka-relate sa struggle na ’to,” she said.

“Kaya sana naman, let’s be a little kinder and more sensitive. You never really know what someone is going through,” she stressed.

Diaz reminded netizens to be more mindful when making remarks about other people on social media.

“Nakakalungkot lang kasi grabe makalait yung iba, as if you know everything that’s happening in someone else’s body and life. Inaano ko ba kayo? Ang pe-perfect niyo naman,” she stated.

Also addressing speculation that she is expecting, she continued, “And to those spreading false information, I am not yet pregnant. Thank you sa lahat ng na excite pero malalaman niyo from us kung oo.”

“I’m only human. I gain weight, I struggle, and I have insecurities too. I’m doing my best na hindi maapektuhan pero again, tao lang ako.. A little kindness goes a long way,” she reminded. “God bless you all.”
