Fireboy DML leads the Fire Nation on 'ZUKO!' album

Fireboy DML has released his fifth studio album, ZUKO!, via YBNL Nation and EMPIRE. The 13-track project is the fifth in his impressive catalog, following the release of Adedamola in 2024.

Judah Earl joins Fireboy on the opener Dear Father, Lojay appears on GODDESS, Jamaican dancehall star Masicka is on CLAAT!, and South Africa’s JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela feature on IMALI. The rest of the tracklist includes By Fire!, C’est la vie, One Man Regiment, Kilowi, Onazo!, Light of Dawn, Mimi Nawe and the closer Fighting.

The rollout began with CLAAT! on August 7, followed by the Afro-house-leaning IMALI, which pairs Fireboy’s melodies with South African 3-step. The album was announced with a cinematic teaser showing Fireboy in a red suit with blood-stained bandages, driving down an empty highway before a licence plate reading ZUKO appeared.

Since signing to YBNL in 2018, Fireboy has released Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps (2019), Apollo (2020), Playboy(2022), which carried Peru, and Adedamola (2024), featuring Jon Batiste, Seun Kuti, Lagbaja and Lojay. ZUKO! is available on all streaming platforms.
