Both the Indian men’s and women’s table tennis teams entered the Round of 16 at the Asian Games 2026 after beating Pakistan in their final group-stage fixture on Monday.
Harmeet set the tone with a commanding 11-4, 11-3, 11-5 victory over Muhammad Khan. Sathiyan followed with an equally convincing performance against Abbas Khan, winning 11-1, 11-8, 11-9. The Indian was briefly tested in the third game before using his experience to close it out.
India’s top-ranked paddler Payas then wrapped up the tie with an 11-2, 11-5, 11-7 win over Muhammad Khan, ensuring India completed the contest without dropping a game.
