Nico Waje files cyberlibel complaint over ‘attacks, fake news’

Former GMA reporter Nico Waje lodged a cyberlibel complaint over alleged “attacks and fake news” against him, days after the acts of lasciviousness and gender-based sexual harassment complaint filed against him by former colleague Athena Imperial was recommended for dismissal.
Waje was accompanied by his wife as well as his legal counsel, Atty. Leo Lalusis, as he lodged the case before the Office of the City Prosecutor – Quezon City on Friday, Aug. 28. The respondents named in the complaint were not immediately disclosed.
“For the past months, si sir Nico inatake ng mga fake news, blind items. ‘Yung evidence naman namin basically is ‘yung mga published articles na posted nitong mga certain individuals na ito,” Lalusis said.
