India international and Tamil Nadu batter Sai Sudharsan was fit for action after hobbling off the field on the second day of the Ranji Trophy match against Rajasthan in Jaipur on Monday.
After taking throwdowns during the lunch break, he opened the batting for Tamil Nadu with N. Jagadeesan.
Earlier, Sudharsan had gone down while attempting to stop a drive from Karan Lamba at cover off P. Saravana Kumar. He had needed assistance from a member of the support staff to leave the field.
The left-handed batter had only recently returned to action — after recovering from a toe injury — during the India A series against Australia A in Puducherry.
Sudharsan has also been named in India A’s squad for three red-ball matches in New Zealand, beginning in Lincoln on October 26.

He was not initially included in Tamil Nadu’s squad for the Ranji Trophy fixture against Rajasthan. However, after arriving in Jaipur at 10 p.m. on the eve of the match, he was added to the playing XI at the last minute.
