While Roma are working on building a new stadium, the project to revamp the Stadio Olimpico was also presented, with €150m investment hoping to host the EURO 2032 Final.
Italy are co-hosting the tournament with Turkiye and must provide five stadiums each for the event in the summer of 2032.
The list of potential candidate cities was handed to UEFA for consideration, and Rome is the only one with two potential stadiums up for the task.

All the focus last week was on the new Stadio della Roma to be built in the Pietralata district, which finally got the go-ahead after more than a decade of wrangling.
However, the Stadio Olimpico remains an iconic venue and the plan is to revamp that structure so it can host the EURO 2032 Final.
The project was presented today by the local authorities who own the arena, expanding the capacity to over 70,000 seats.

At a cost of €150m, it would see visibility improved, security strengthened for the entrances, brand new maxi screens and hospitality spaces created.
The planned schedule is to begin work in the summer of 2027 and have it completed by the end of 2030.
Roma and Lazio currently play their football at the Stadio Olimpico, as well as hosting Italy rugby matches, athletics, and concerts.
