White House’s New AI Website Confirms Trump Lost the 2020 Presidential Election

President Donald Trump has routinely — and falsely — claimed that he won the 2020 election, which was actually won by Joe Biden.

But the new AI-powered website America.gov, which Trump unveiled on Tuesday to great fanfare, says otherwise.

When a user types a query such as “Who won the 2020 U.S. presidential election?,” the America.gov site answers with this: “Joseph R. Biden Jr. won the 2020 U.S. presidential election.” Citing the National Archives, the site also provides the official electoral college results from the election: “Biden: 306 electoral votes; Donald J. Trump: 232 electoral votes.”

According to the White House, America.gov is “a single digital point of entry for Americans to access federal government information or services online.” Trump signed an executive order Tuesday to “ensure federal agencies integrate” with the new AI-powered website, per the White House.

America.gov is powered by AI technology from Google’s Gemini and Elon Musk’s Grok, CNBC reported, citing U.S. chief design officer Joe Gebbia. According to the White House, the site provides access to 29,000 government websites, accessible using a chatbot prompt to answer questions. “Every answer is exclusively sourced from federal, state and local websites,” info on the website says.
