WEATHER: Fine conditions as fog and clouds hit parts of SA

Here is what the weather has in store for KZN, Free State and North West on Sunday 23 August 2026.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning fog patches will occur over the western interior, while most areas will remain fine and cool to warm.

The north-east will become partly cloudy from late morning.

Along the coast, fresh southerly to south-westerly winds will become moderate south-easterlies in the south during the afternoon before turning light and variable in the evening.

The UVB sunburn index is expected to be high.

DURBAN

Fine conditions will continue before the weather becomes partly cloudy towards the evening.

Fresh to strong southerly to south-westerly winds will ease to moderate south-easterlies in the afternoon, becoming light and variable by the evening.

Temperatures will range from 17°C to 23°C.

The UVB sunburn index is going to be high.

FREE STATE

Free State is going to be fine and cool to warm..

BLOEMFONTEIN

Bloemfontein is going to be fine.

Temperatures will range from a minimum of 5°C to a maximum of 23°C.

NORTH WEST

North West is going to be fine and warm.

MAHIKENG

Mahikeng is going to be fine.

Temperatures will range from a minimum of 8°C. to a maximum of 28°C.
