Alien: Earth Season 2 New Set Photos Bring Major Franchise Corporation To Life

Alien: Earth season 2 brings back one of the darkest corporations in the franchise's history, Weyland-Yutani.

Alien: Earth is a science fiction horror series created by Noah Hawley for FX. The show is the Alien franchise’s first live-action TV series and takes place approximately two years before the events of Ridley Scott’s 1979 film Alien. The project follows a group of synthetic hybrids created by the Prodigy Corporation. Dubbed the Lost Boys, the group consists of several terminally ill children who had their consciousness transferred to robotic bodies.

Production on Alien: Earth season 2 appears to be expanding beyond just the studio. New set photos from London offer fans a sneak peek at the hit science fiction series filming a sequence featuring one of its most iconic organizations. The images posted on X show Weyland-Yutani's branded vehicles and employees taking over the streets of London near the historic Canary Wharf.

The new behind-the-scenes pictures reveal large armored vehicles traveling through the area. These futuristic cars very clearly feature the Weyland-Yutani logo, giving Alien: Earth fans an idea of what's to come for the corporation. Additional images reveal a modern building guarded by what appears to be armed workers.

However, despite these photos surfacing, FX has not publicly confirmed what is being filmed at the location or how it will factor into Alien: Earth season 2. Disney announced in July that production was underway in London, while revealing that Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell, and Jerome Flynn had joined the cast alongside Peter Dinklage.

Alien: Earth season 2 will also feature several actors from the first installment reprise their roles. Confirmed returning cast members include Sydney Chandler (Wendy), Timothy Olyphant (Kirsh), Alex Lawther (Hermit), Essie Davis (Dame Sylvia), Babou Ceesay (Morrow), Samuel Blenkin (Boy Kavalier), and Adarsh Gourav (Slightly).

There is currently no official release date for Alien: Earth season 2 at the time of this article's publication. However, with production underway in mid-2026, it has been speculated that the hit FX series will premiere sometime in late 2027.
