Exclusive – Ex England Youth Team Star Switch Nationality To Super Eagles

Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has succeeded in convincing a former junior international of England to switch his nationality and play for his team, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Chelle and the player’s representative have been in talks since last season in a bid to convince him to represent Nigeria, with the player requesting for more time to make a decision.
In the summer he was expected to officially begin the process of switching his nationality, but he deferred it to sort his club future out and earned a move to another team in the top league.
Per what we exclusively gathered, he has filed his papers with world football governing body and has already applied for a Nigerian passport with the hope that he will be cleared before the end of the year.
Sources close to the coach refused to reveal his name to us in a bid to protect existing relationships and also maintain trust from those in the system.
He represented England at various youth levels, but decided that his senior international career is best with Nigeria, just like goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, Femi Azeez, Emmanuel Fernandez, Chibuzo Nwoko and Owen Oseni.
