Worker dies from suffocation, two others saved in Tuguegarao
TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN, Philippines — A worker died of suffocation while two others were rescued after they were trapped in a deep well they were digging on Monday (Sept. 28) at Barangay Balzain in Tuguegarao City.
The men were pulled out of the deep well they were contracted to undertake by residents and by responders from the fire department, disaster risk management office and the Coast Guard District North Eastern Luzon Quick Response Team.

One of the workers was officially declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
The two others were brought to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center and were placed under observation. /cb
