Health Ministry misses target for emergency response times

Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: Only 34.1 per cent of life-threatening emergencies received a response within 15 minutes in 2025, below the Health Ministry's 50 per cent target.

"For 2025, the overall national achievement for Priority 1 cases was only 34.1 per cent, still below the target of 50 per cent that we set.

"The Health Director-General and I have also examined this issue because the key performance indicator (KPI) has yet to be met, and it is certainly a major challenge," Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said during the oral question-and-answer session in the Dewan Rakyat today.

He was responding to a supplementary question from Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Haji Alias (BN-Jelebu), who asked about the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and response times for health personnel attending to accident victims.
