A third and final season of Peter Capaldi and Jessica Raine's supernatural thriller The Devil's Hour is coming to Prime Video - see the first-look images of the returning series below.

Having premiered in 2022, the series stars Raine as social worker Lucy Chambers, who crosses paths with the mysterious criminal Gideon Shepherd (Capaldi), who has the ability to "remember" the future.

The Devil's Hour, created and written by Tom Moran, is now finally returning after a two-year wait since the second season in 2024. The third and last run of episodes will start streaming on Friday 4 December via Prime Video.

The platform has also shared a string of official stills from the upcoming chapter, showing Raine and Capaldi back as Lucy and Gideon. The duo are seen wielding guns in one of the images as they appear to be in a barn.

Meanwhile, their co-star Nikesh Patel is also back as DI Ravi Dhillon. In a first-look snap, the DI looks nervous as he seems to be hiding or overhearing something that he shouldn't.

In a third photo, Raine's Lucy is exploring a creepy, deserted building at night, as she examines the ceiling and points a flashlight at it.

The pictures might not give too much away, but they definitely set a disturbing tone for the show's anticipated conclusion.

The Devil's Hour has an excellent track record, having earned positive reviews on its first two seasons.
